Weimar - the city of poets, thinkers, and Bauhaus. Goethe lived here, Luther stayed there and Hitler was visiting. The former Gauforum is a shopping center and during the evening visit to the theater, one visits the founding site of the first German democracy at the same time.

The linear course of historical events turns into a juxtaposition and a but not juxtaposition. What does the representation of history tell us about history itself? For what reasons do we commemorate something or someone? And do we actually need to know where Goethe lived?
